A final walk to save lives. 💙💚 Several dozen people gathered at COMMUNITY REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER-FRESNO on Thursday to honor Patrice Sanders before she went into surgery to donate her organs. "It's really touching to see all the people that she's touched and to who she meant so much to," said Paige Sanders, Patrice's sister. Our very own Senior Director of Donation Development in Fresno, CA, Jaclyn Manzanedo, CTBS gave her thanks to Patrice, her family, CRMC and shared her thoughts on Patrice's #GiftOfLife and it's impact in her passing. Established in 1987, we serve more than 13 million people and connect a donor’s gift to those in need in 45 counties in Northern California and Northern Nevada. Organ, eye, and tissue donation offers the hope to heal. The generous decisions of donors and their families allow us to recover and allocate organs and tissues for transplantation and research. We are able to carry out our mission of saving and healing lives thanks to our partnership with 175 hospitals, doctors, nurses, more than 500 funeral homes and 44 coroners and medical examiners. This week, AMAT President Ieesha J. is on the move, collaborating with Black Health Connect. Meeting and speaking with Sidney Tucker from Philly, who has been waiting five years for his life-saving kidney, provided even more motivation for working in this life saving mission. 🙏🏾 We all have a role to play in reducing wait times for those in need. The conference provided a valuable opportunity to network and raise awareness about organ donation and transplantation, with a focus on improving access and health outcomes for multicultural communities.
