Congratulations to NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Boeing and United Launch Alliance (ULA) on the successful launch, flight and ISS docking of Calypso, the first crewed CST-100 Starliner! D-J Engineering Inc. has produced over 150 unique part numbers for the Boeing CST-100 Starliner capsule. The portfolio of components include the black perforated rings you can see in the image below, hatch & hatch frame components, frangible separation rings, and the titanium handle assembly to which the parachutes attach! It's always awesome to see our products on space missions, but just a bit sweeter when they involve crewed missions! Part of D-J Engineering Inc.'s Additive Manufacturing team, Lucy, Michael, and Derek, had the opportunity today to meet with two representatives from SABIC’s Specialties Business - Solutions for Additive Manufacturing, David and Walter. They came out to view our newly installed Thermwood Corporation #LSAM 1010 and had the chance to see it in action printing a stretch form tool! SABIC Specialties has been incredibly helpful in our journey to get this new #PFAM capability up and running, from supplying their THERMOCOMP™ AM Compounds based on ABS and PC for our tooling applications, to sharing tricks they’ve learned along the way. We look forward to our continued collaboration with them as we expand our capabilities in the quickly developing #additivemanufacturing market.

Our operation ensures the protection of our product for our military and cutting delivery time. This is just another example of how DJE continues to vertically integrate to bring better product to our customers and to do so faster!
