Guidance on building better digital services in government.
About us
Welcome to Digital.gov! As part of the Technology Transformation Services (TTS) at the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), we help the government community deliver better digital services. Our mission is to transform how government learns, builds, delivers, and measures digital services in the 21st century. And we do that by providing people in the federal government with the tools, methods, practices, and policy guidance they need to deliver effective and accessible digital services. It is our job to be the experts in the problems people in government face, and support them wherever they may be blocked.

Our new guide, "Building by the rules: A crash course for federal technologists," introduces government web and digital practitioners to public policy, which influences technology projects as a force both for and against change. It was created for Digital.gov by Trey Gordner and Chizobam Nwagwu, Fellows in the U.S. Digital Corps — an early‑career fellowship designed for the country’s top technology talent to serve in the federal government. "Building by the rules" https://lnkd.in/eEUwzj6S guides you through: - Six types of policy - Exploring the policy framing for FindSupport.gov as a case study - Key federal statutes around information collection, accessibility, privacy, and security; the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Privacy Act of 1974, and the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA)
