With a heavy heart, we are saddened to note today the passing of Representative Donald M. Payne Jr.. As a champion for New Jersey public school students for over a decade, we want to take a moment to honor Rep Payne Jr.'s lifetime of service.

Notable findings from a recent national poll - we see these trends in MKE as well. “Specifically, voters no longer view Democrats as the party that will educationally prepare kids for future economic success. The perception that Democrats “care” about education but do not “deliver” on education is shared across various demographics, including Independents and core Democratic voters.”

House Bill 1363 in #Colorado seeks to undermine the state's successful public charter schools, which primarily serve marginalized and low income students. HB1363 gives veto power to unelected citizens, strips authority from CO's Board of Ed, and threatens the very existence of public charter schools.
