About us

The Dayton-Wright Chapter provides an ethical forum for military, government, industry, academic organizations and individuals to collaborate so that technology and strategy align with the needs of those who serve. We are a member-based, non-profit organization for professionals that provides highly sought after thought leadership, engagement and networking opportunities. AFCEA focuses on cyber, command, control, information technology, communications, and electronics for the defense, homeland security and intelligence communities. We take pride in upholding the highest ethical standards in our support of those who respond, protect, secure and serve, as well as their industry and academia partners. The Dayton-Wright chapter holds monthly luncheons, an annual Casino Night, Golf Tournament, Air Force Logistics Information Technology Summit, technology forums, networking events and many Emerging Leaders events. Proceeds from our Chapter events and activities support many local scholarship and educational programs designed to foster a pipeline and interest for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Education is an AFCEA core value. The Dayton–Wright Chapter, in partnership with the AFCEA Educational Foundation, presents and average of $35,000 annually in scholarships, grants and awards to students in the "hard" sciences. This includes students in traditional university degree programs, ROTC programs, regional K-12 STEM schools, STEM teachers and other educational settings. The Dayton-Wright Chapter, originally chartered on February 14, 1948 under the U.S. Veterans Signal Association and the American Signal Corps Association received its official updated Charter of Incorporation from AFCEA International on November 21, 1984. Today, with over 600 members, our Chapter remains a venue where government, military, industry and academia can come together.
