A theme that came up repeatedly on my recent visits with Austin technology leaders: talent. Despite the introduction of artificial intelligence and automation, the demand for talent remains strong. That's why recruiting mission-driven technology professionals remains a key reason companies locate in Austin. On a visit to chip manufacturer Samsung Semiconductor, I heard about the tech giant’s strong veteran pipeline and recruiting partnerships with The University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University and other regional universities and community colleges. Samsung also develops talent by helping employees learn new skills as technology evolves. Finding the right talent will be important as the company builds a new manufacturing facility outside of Austin in Taylor. Special thank you to San Antonio branch director Tyson Tuttle for joining us on this visit and sharing industry insights with me. Read Dallas Fed research on the topic here: https://lnkd.in/eAQFTBQX

As Pride Month wraps, we want to recognize our employees and Pride! employee resource group members who celebrated the month through participation in community and on-site events. We’re proud to create an inclusive workplace where talented people of diverse backgrounds can thrive. The varied experiences our people bring to their work are critical to helping us deliver on our mission.
🌈✨Thrilled to share that we kicked off Pride Month at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. 🥳 As chair of the Pride! ERG, I’m incredibly proud of my team's dedication and hard work in bringing our events to life for employees at the Dallas Fed. We had so much fun designing a beautiful collage highlighting LGBTQ+ icons and will cap off the month with an educational pride bingo game!! Let’s continue celebrating diversity, championing equality, and spreading love and acceptance. Happy Pride Month, everyone! 🏳️🌈 #PrideMonth #DallasFed #Inclusivity #Diversity #PrideERG #LoveIsLove
