An always helpful IT Supervisor, a rockstar health scientist, and a colleague whose positive attitude makes her a pleasure to work on complex projects… Our Q2 Employees of the Month deserve to be celebrated. Please join us in congratulating these hardworking team members! 🏆 Robert Evans, 'Josh', was lauded by his colleagues as a “servant leader” for always offering support and being “willing to give his full attention” to ensure innovative solutions are available to resolve any IT issues that may arise. 🏆 TRISTAN SIMONEAU, whom peers say stepped up to delegate and coordinate work with “enthusiasm, organizational skills, and a sharp eye” to ensure reports were completed on time when faced with a growing number of quick turnaround projects. 🏆 Madelyn Klinkerman, whose work ethic, attention to detail, and dedication to creating clear instructions and quality training led to what teammates said was an “exceptionally smooth” field experience. Keep up the good work, Josh, Tristan, and Madelyn!

Under GSA's new order, owners of leased government spaces must now conduct baseline drinking water testing. Once receiving a notice, you'll only have 90 days to hire a qualified professional to conduct sampling and provide results to the GSA. What do those impacted need to know for compliance, and how can CTEH’s decades of sampling experience, advanced credentials, and industry relationships help streamline the process? We’re explaining more on our blog: https://hubs.ly/Q02DVYRW0

    • Time is running out to comply with GSA’s new drinking water order. Find out how CTEH’s environmental experts and rapid response capabilities can help you navigate the requirements seamlessly.

Are you “ready” for a disaster? It seems straightforward enough, right? Not so fast. As I talk about disaster preparedness across the country and with colleagues from other nations we all agree the preparedness process is multifaceted. It begins at the individual level and should include the household plan, the community plan, the workplace plan, and beyond. In the work environment consider whether your staff can work remotely or communicate if cell towers are down or signal is out. Do you have pre-existing contracts or vetted vendors if an event happens? What about a list of available resources with or without a federal declaration? Resilience is about having a plan and resources to minimize disruption and impact. Proper planning is crucial to disaster resiliency. #CTEH #disasterpreparedness #resilience #disasterplanning

When asked how I prepare my own home for a disaster a few steps come to mind: -Securing important documents in a fire proof safe within a waterproof bag and having copies backed up electronically. - I pick up a case of water when shopping and keep enough cases in the house to support each of us and our dog for several days (one case per grocery trip is less than $5). - I keep a stock of non-perishable foods; pick up on extra can of beans or soup (less than $2). - I have back up lights/flashlights and a fan that can be charged via usb or solar. Those simple steps over time can help immensely. #preparedness #disaster #emergencymanagement #CTEH
