CREO was excited to collaborate with the talented designers at Studio Tectonic and Boston Productions Inc. (BPI) on a captivating project for the Wyoming State Parks at the historic 01 Missile Alert Facility. The unique aspect of this project is that the Missile Alert Facility was "hidden in plain sight," camouflaged as an ordinary home during the cold war. Visitors can descend 50 feet down into the capsule and take a tour of the missile silo. The CREO team produced a replica missile shell, printed graphics, and set up interactive media along with various artifact mounts for the exhibit area. Edgeworks Climbing + Fitness in Bellevue’s Crossroads Shopping Center has a new look! An 11,000-square-foot expansion on the south side of the facility offers an array of new features for climbers of all ages and abilities, including 45-foot walls with 49 additional climbing lines, a new training area, and locker rooms with saunas. CREO Industrial Arts collaborated with the MG2 team to design, fabricate, and install a 33-foot metal focal piece on the exterior of the building. CRĒO meticulously engineered the artwork, which was fabricated in different shapes and sizes and then pieced together onsite in a challenging installation process. "The dynamic sculptural corner piece at the new Edgeworks expansion was inspired by the climbing walls found inside, creating a focal point within the heart of the Crossroad community," said Mark Taylor, AIA, Principal at MG2. CRĒO is proud to have been part of bringing Wayfair’s new flagship retail location to life. This massive 150,000 square foot space in Wilmette, IL is the ultimate destination for all things home—furniture, decor, housewares, and more. Our team fabricated a variety of elements for this new location. In addition to interior and exterior signage throughout the store, CRĒO also produced interactive displays for their faucet and shower head selections, both of which include functional fixtures that allow visitors to test out their features and see how water flows through them. CRĒO also provided the three-story tall “slat wall” surrounding a digital display in the atrium. It was a pleasure to be a part of this milestone event in Wayfair’s history, and we wish them the best of luck as they settle into their new community in Wilmette, IL!
