On Wednesday, Adam Lavelle joined partners to celebrate the grand opening of St. Lucas Lofts in Indianapolis' near Eastside. CREA is proud to be involved in the creation of 48 affordable homes for individuals and families, especially the 10 permanent supportive homes that St. Lucas Lofts will offer to youth aged 18-25 who are experiencing homelessness. In June, we celebrated the closing of six properties spanning from New Jersey to California. We are proud to have worked with developer partners AMG & Associates, LLC, Developers Collaborative, Fairstead, Kittle Property Group, Northern Real Estate Urban Ventures L.L.C. and Walters Cornerstone Development to provide affordable housing for families, seniors and residents with special needs. Now is the time to connect with your senators and urge them to back the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act of 2024, a bipartisan bill endorsed by Tony Bertoldi for its much-needed provisions, including: ∙ Expanding the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) ∙ Reinstatement of the Child Tax Credit ∙ Several pro-business provisions for the R&D Tax Credit ∙ Bonus depreciation ∙ Other extensions to expensing certain items for tax purposes Estimates from Novogradac & Company LLP project that these provisions will create approximately 200,000 new affordable homes. Our partners at Community Housing Development Corporation along with #TeamCREA member Richard Shea recently celebrated the groundbreaking of Friendship Senior Housing on June 6th in Oakland, CA. This new development in the Ralph Bunche neighborhood will provide 50 affordable homes for seniors. Residents will enjoy amenities like a community room, rooftop deck, and health and wellness programming that will focus on creating individualized, resident-led service plans that promote housing retention goals and self-sufficiency to ensure that all residents have the opportunity to improve their lives. Charles Anderson recently attended the grand opening of Sherwood Avenue Family Apartments on behalf of CREA, LLC. Located in McFarland, CA, this development features 81 homes and a variety of amenities, including a playground, community garden, and computer lab. Congratulations to Milestone Housing Group and all partners on this remarkable achievement!

Michele Hornok represented CREA as we proudly sponsored and celebrated the grand opening of Village Commons with Avesta Housing on June 18th in Scarborough, ME. Village Commons features 31 homes, green spaces and off-street parking for residents, with a solar-ready roof for sustainability. We are thrilled to announce the latest property impact story on Parkway Village at Kapolei Lot 6 and Lot 7, in collaboration with developers Kobayashi Group, LLC and Ahe Group. This development not only provides a safe living space for Hawaii residents but also educational and care opportunities, including a preschool/daycare and after-school care within 2,638 square feet of commercial space.
