We are currently #seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator to #join our team. The Quality Assurance Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all external and internal quality requirements are met. This role involves inspecting procedures and outputs, as well as identifying any mistakes or non-conformity issues. Primary responsibilities: ♦Manages the document control system, including the creation, revision, updating and distribution of SOPs. ♦Prepares the annual internal audit plan. Conducts internal systems audits and follows up on any subsequent corrective actions as required. ♦Assures that all activities conducted on behalf of the company by vendors are in compliance with the appropriate quality system and expectations. ♦Represents the company during customer audits and regulatory inspections. ♦Manages the implementation and maintenance of the ISO 9001 and any other ISO certifications held by the company. ♦Monitors the proper implementation of all Company’s Quality ♦Management System policies and procedures. Qualification requirements: ♦University degree in health or biological sciences, pharmacology, medicine or chemistry. ♦At least 1-2 years of previous demonstrated experience in the Pharmaceutical or CRO industry. ♦Excellent written and verbal command of the English language. ♦Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite. ♦Excellent organizational, prioritizing and communication skills. ♦Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with attention to detail. We are currently #seeking a Study Start Up Associate with experience in clinical research processes and regulatory requirements. This role assists the clinical team in the startup and site activation activities including the preparation, handling, distribution, filing, and archiving of all documents required for obtaining approval by all Authorities. Also, acts as a central contract for/from Financial Institutional Bodies. Primary responsibilities: ♦ Prepare and submit documentation to Ethics Committees, Competent Authorities, and other approving bodies, and track regulatory documents. ♦ Conducts country-specific feasibility as per the Sponsor’s request. ♦ Collects and negotiates Confidentially Agreements (CDA). ♦ Collaborate with internal and external teams, to ensure smooth project start-up. ♦ Assist in the preparation and negotiation of site contracts and budgets. ♦ Coordinate Investigators’/sites’ payments, including preparing payment orders, obtaining site staff signatures, and submitting to financial management bodies. ♦ Assists the clinical project team in the distribution, retrieval and review of essential documents required for the initiation of a clinical trial in time. ♦ Maintain a working knowledge of and ensure compliance with applicable ICH-GCP Guidelines and local regulations. Qualifications:  ♦ Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field. ♦ Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a start-up role within the pharmaceutical industry or a Clinical Research Organization (CRO). ♦ Excellent English written and verbal communication. ♦ Understanding of basic accounting principles. ♦ Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. ♦ Attention to detail. ❗ Στην Ευρώπη, εκτιμάται ότι 30 εκατομμύρια άνθρωποι πάσχουν από σπάνιo νόσημα.   ❗ Υπάρχουν περισσότερες από 6000 διαφορετικές σπάνιες ασθένειες στην ΕΕ και περίπου το 80% των σπάνιων ασθενειών έχουν γενετική προέλευση, ενώ το 70% από αυτές, ξεκινούν ήδη από την παιδική ηλικία.   ❗ Μόνο το 6% των ανθρώπων στην Ευρώπη με σπάνιες ασθένειες λαμβάνουν εγκεκριμένη θεραπεία.   ❗ Από το 2018 έως το 2022, το 53% των κλινικών δοκιμών στη Βόρεια Αμερική και την Ευρώπη σχετίζονταν με σπάνιες ασθένειες. Καθώς αναμένεται να αυξηθεί ο αριθμός των σπάνιων ασθενειών, η ανάγκη για ανάπτυξη καινοτόμων θεραπειών είναι επιτακτική. Οι κλινικές μελέτες είναι σημαντικές για την κατανόηση των σπάνιων ασθενειών, καθώς οι πληροφορίες που συλλέγονται μπορούν να βοηθήσουν στην ανάπτυξη νέων θεραπειών και στη βελτίωση της ποιότητας ζωής των ασθενών. Η εύρεση μιας γενετικής διάγνωσης για μια σπάνια ασθένεια μπορεί να τερματίσει χρόνια αβεβαιότητας και εξετάσεων και ταυτόχρονα να απαντήσει σε ερωτήματα σχετικά με την πρόγνωση, τη θεραπεία και την κληρονομικότητα της νόσου. As the number of rare diseases is expected to increase, the need for developing innovative treatments is urgent. Clinical studies are important for understanding rare diseases, as the information collected can help develop new treatments and improve patient’s quality of life. Finding a genetic diagnosis for a rare disease can end years of uncertainty and testing, and at the same time, answer questions about the prognosis, treatment, and inheritance of the condition. On the 29th of February, the Rare Disease Day, we advocate for social opportunity, healthcare, and access to diagnosis and therapies for those affected by rare diseases worldwide.   🚩 Ο καρκίνος είναι ένας από τους κύριους παράγοντες θνησιμότητας, προκαλώντας περίπου 1 στους 6 θανάτους, παγκοσμίως, ενώ μόνο το 2022 καταγράφηκαν 20 εκατομμύρια νέα περιστατικά καρκίνου και 9,7 εκατομμύρια θάνατοι (Παγκόσμιος Οργανισμός Υγείας) . 🚩 Ο αριθμός των νέων κρουσμάτων καρκίνου στην Ευρώπη εκτιμάται ότι θα αυξηθεί κατά 22,5% τις επόμενες δύο δεκαετίες, σύμφωνα με νέες εκτιμήσεις του Διεθνούς Οργανισμού Έρευνας για τον Καρκίνο. Αυτό συμβαίνει καθώς ο αριθμός των διαγνώσεων καρκίνου θα αυξηθεί κατά 55% παγκοσμίως μεταξύ 2022 και 2045, από περίπου 19,9 εκατομμύρια περιπτώσεις καρκίνου το 2022 σε 30,9 εκατομμύρια περιπτώσεις το 2045 (International Agency for Research on Cancer). 🚩 Χάρη στη ζωτικής σημασίας κλινική έρευνα για τον καρκίνο, 18.000.000 άτομα στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες επιβίωσαν του καρκίνου (American Association for Cancer Research). Οι Κλινικές Μελέτες είναι ο μόνος επιστημονικά αποδεκτός τρόπος που οδηγεί σε ερευνητική πρόοδο και δημιουργία νέων θεραπευτικών επιλογών για τον καρκίνο.
