Last week, we signed a declaration of intent alongside the City of Aalst, AZORG, UGent, PMV, POM, vzw Zorginnovatiehub Aalst, and NV Siesegem Noord to bring this ambitious project to life. The new campus, located on the Siesegem business park, will be a hub where education, research and entrepreneurship intersect, driving innovation in the healthcare sector. With 52 hectares dedicated to this development, Aalst is set to further establish itself as a leading care city, consolidating the 20-25% of local jobs already in the health sector. Key highlights: 🔹 Integration of top-tier partners like AZORG, UGent, PMV, and POM. 🔹 Focus on fostering spin-offs from universities and start-ups in digital health, medtech, and sport tech. 🔹 Creation of an innovation center for 20-40 start-ups and 10-20 scale-ups, addressing the growing need for specialized lab and office spaces. At Cordeel, we are proud to support this initiative, ensuring the development of flexible, purpose-built facilities that meet the dynamic needs of the health and care industries. That's why last week we, along with about 60 other organizations, signed the Green Deal Deelmobiliteit & Wonen. [🎉It’s a win ! 🎉] archipelago architects is thrilled to announce that our project CM Limburg Headquarters is the winner of the international Active House Award 2024 in the ‘Principle’ category. Congratulations to the whole team! The design by archipelago follows a strong vision on the new world of working, mixed with a dynamic public programme, and connected to the surrounding Demer park. The new HQ offers a variety of work and meeting spaces, both inside and outside. A pathway that starts at the entrance area grows like a tree through the building and connects to the different working environments. A modular approach allows the building to easily adapt to future changes. 👟✨ Challenge Accomplished at Cordeel! ✨👟 At Cordeel Group, we are always dedicated to increasing the well-being of our employees. That's why, in collaboration with Buddyfit, we introduced the Cordeel Group Steps Challenge, an initiative where we challenged our team members to take 7,500 steps a day. The goal? Not just to promote physical health, but also to contribute to a healthy mind. The results were nothing short of inspiring! 🌟 Thanks to the commitment of our participants, we saw a 40% increase in the number of steps taken per day. From an average of 4 km per day before the challenge, we jumped to over 6 km per day. Throughout the 20-day challenge, our participants took a total of 7,692,020 extra steps, which is equivalent to walking around Belgium four times! 🇧🇪🚶♂️🚶♀️ This achievement not only underscores the resilience and determination of our team but also reaffirms our belief in the importance of a healthy lifestyle. At Cordeel Group, we recognize that a healthy mind in a healthy body is essential for personal and professional growth. We want to congratulate all our participants on their incredible achievements and thank them for their contribution to this collective effort.
