A good emergency kit includes: 🔦Flashlight 📱Cell Phone Charger and an extra charge bank 📻Radio 🔋Batteries 💧Water (one gallon per person, per day) ⚕️First-Aid kit 💊Daily medications While you are preparing today, we are stocking trucks and staging crews so we can respond quickly if needed.

We have aggressive clean energy goals. And you can count on us to meet them. Today, we broke ground on a 250 megawatt solar facility in Muskegon County capable of powering 40,000 homes once complete. The project will use 1,900 acres of unused land within the Muskegon County Resource Recovery Center’s footprint. This presents an opportunity for a unique collaboration between the two organizations to continue providing clean water — and now, clean, renewable energy — for the local community.

“When it comes to reliability, we are committed to making sure the power stays on for our customers by preventing outages,” says Brian Miles, Director of Laboratory Services at Trail Street Labs in Jackson, Michigan. Originally built in 1910, the lab offers a variety of services like chemical analysis, metallurgical testing, calibration, and more for clients nationwide. Since 2023, our pledge to keep the lights on has led to the installment of 5,772 newer poles to improve energy reliability. And every day, we’re working to install more. You can count on us to do everything in our power to make sure yours is reliable.

Tuesday's storms left many of our neighbors in the dark. But through the hard work of our crews, power has been restored for more than 98% of customers across the state. And you can count on us to continue working until every customer is restored. We're incredibly thankful for everyone's patience, especially those still waiting on restoration. Clean energy can be reliable and efficient, especially when backed by battery storage.
