One way our team stays on top of industry trends and best practices is by getting involved in professional organizations, like the PRSA Public Affairs and Government Section.
Too Long, Didn’t Read: I co-chaired this year’s 2024 PRSA Public Affairs and Government Section Summit in Seattle with Karla Slate, APR, and it was (truly) one of the best conference experiences I’ve had. Here’s why: The last few weeks have been a whirlwind planning the 2024 Public Affairs and Government Section Summit, but boy, was it all worth it. I attended my first Summit in 2021, what a time, right? From there, I connected with some of the folks who serve on the executive committee, and the rest is history. In 2022, I was invited to present at the section’s annual summit, in 2023, I was voted in as an official member of the Executive Committee, and this year I co-chaired the Summit. I’ve learned, I’ve grown, I’ve rolled my eyes, but at the end of the day, I look forward to doing it all again. Thank you to each and every one of this year’s attendees, speakers, representatives from PRSA National, the Executive Committee, the Planning Committee, and especially PAG Chair Lori Croy, APR and my Co-Chair Karla Slate. This year was the FIRST year our conference was SOLD OUT, attracting an international audience (yes, even from Australia)! The outpouring of gratitude from speakers, attendees, and colleagues alike made the months of planning worth it. I’m honored, and so fortunate, to be part of this group of government communicators who are committed to advancing our field, sharing our experiences, and being vulnerable with each other. Thank you, PAG, for all you have afforded me. If you are reading this and attended, please message me or comment below with any feedback! I’d love to know how we can improve next year’s event. Shout out to this year's lineup! This month, our work brought us to a galaxy far, far away! On May 4 (the unofficial official Star Wars holiday), we celebrated with the Broward League of Cities at its 67th Annual Gala! If you're ready to bring your event marketing to the next level, our team is prepared to deliver. To promote this year's gala, our team designed the program, presentations, signage, videos, social media posts, and more. And it was all worth it- this year's gala was sold-out!

"We may be small but we are mighty!" One of the things I love most about running a small business is how quickly we activate. In a few short days we moved at lighting speed to secure a slew of media for the launch of The Cloud, the City of Hallandale Beach's new electric bus fleet!
