Meet Miss Asia, activities director at Burlington House Healthcare Center! Asia's one year anniversary with Burlington House is quickly approaching and we are beyond thankful for her exceptional work and commitment to residents. When asked what she enjoys most about her role, she shared the following: "I am passionate about enriching the lives of our residents through vibrant and engaging activities. Maplewood Healthcare Center leadership spoke with their longest tenured LPN and CNA team members and asked what keeps them inspired in their careers. 💙 Amy Gregory, LPN, has been part of the Maplewood team for 12 years and stated, “I really enjoy the residents and families. My coworkers are great and I love working in a family oriented environment.” 💙 Kaylynn DeMoss, CNA, has worked at the center for four years. She said, "we are a family and help each other out. Lewisburg Healthcare Center recognizes Lisa Bower for her recent achievement of becoming an RN! Lisa had previously been an LPN at the center for five years. She decided to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming an RN and did just that! We could not be more proud of her and her accomplishments. Congratulations, Lisa! Meet Activities Leader Bridget Griffin! Bridget has a unique story and connection to River Oaks Healthcare Center as she was previously a resident and discharged home earlier this year. During her stay, she enjoyed helping the activities team and joked about joining them professionally after she was discharged. Sure enough, Bridget did join our team and is doing exceptionally well in her role! What she loves most about her job is being able to interact with residents and making a difference in their lives. River Oaks Healthcare Center's therapy team celebrated the 4th of July with cupcake decorating, crafts, glitter tattoos and watermelon! Occupational therapy worked on fine motor skills while speech therapy focused on attention, problem solving and reminiscing. Physical therapy used a beach ball and corn hole to address strength, balance and coordination. Everyone had a blast while participating in this productive and functional group therapy session! Executive Director Drew even popped in for a visit and photo. 😊

Congratulations to Chardon Healthcare Center's 2nd Quarter Care Champion, Jonathan Mosley, PTA! He always encourages residents to give it their all on their journeys to recovery and we are very appreciative of his outstanding work. Thank you, Jonathan!

On this special holiday, we are honored to introduce Taylor, CNA instructor at Charleston Healthcare Center! Taylor has been part of the team since November 2022 and is a lifelong resident of West Virginia. She has served in the state’s Air National Guard for seven years, and is also an aerospace medical technician with the 35th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and High Yield Explosives Enhanced Response Force. She loves having the opportunity to serve her country while also serving alongside her colleagues at Charleston Healthcare Center. Taylor hopes to make even a small impact in her community and give back to the people at home and abroad who, in her words, “came before us so we can live freely.” She is a blessing to residents and we are grateful to have her. Thank you for your service, Taylor, and happy Independence Day!

Grande Lake Healthcare Center residents and employees joined the Alzheimer's Association for family night with the Grand Lake Mariners! One of our residents was honored to throw the game's first pitch and received a team-autographed ball. ⚾💜
