We're excited to announce our latest investment and addition to our portfolio, Subeca, an innovative IoT startup that provides low cost and easy to use water technology. “Subeca offers a simple and secure service that helps Amazon, AWS, and our utility partners gather timely and reliable data to manage water use without relying on traditional cellular or building network infrastructure. We’re excited to work with Subeca as we continue to improve the efficiency of water use in the communities where we operate as well as across our own operations, helping AWS make progress to meeting water positive by 2030,” said Beau S., Senior Manager for Water in the Americas, AWS.

Verne is thrilled to announce a strategic fundraise led by Trucks Venture Capital, with participation from existing investors Collaborative Fund and Amazon Climate Pledge Fund, and new investors United Airlines Ventures Sustainable Flight Fund and Newlab. Heavy-duty transportation is responsible for 12% of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions. Verne’s high-density hydrogen storage technology provides the required range and payload to decarbonize heavy-duty vehicles including trucks and planes. “Verne is motivated to provide zero-emission solutions that don’t require these critical industries to make costly performance trade-offs. Windfall Bio’s nature-based solution harnesses methane-eating microbes to capture and transform methane from any source into valuable outputs, like organic fertilizer. Methane contributes to 30 percent of the planet’s warming, and capturing these emissions is a unique opportunity to reduce global emissions quickly and significantly, especially as market demand and regulatory pressures mount. “Windfall Bio’s approach to methane mitigation creates an exciting greenhouse gas emissions reduction opportunity for agricultural customers and other industries. We're excited to announce our latest investment and addition to our portfolio, Glacier, an AI and robotics company helping the recycling industry work toward a world without waste. Co-founded and led by Rebecca Hu and Areeb Malik, Glacier uses AI-powered robots to automate the sorting of recyclables and collect real-time data on recycling streams for recycling companies and consumer brands. Glacier is helping #Amazon deliver results today through a pilot project that sorts novel bio materials, which would enable recycling for materials that currently can’t be reused.
