And there's an eclipse on Monday (get your eclipse glasses!!!!). Hope everyone has a great weekend! Oh, and we have jobs here at Clearfield Partners. Software Engineers, Project Analyst, Accounting, Program Management, QA Test Engineers.......Reach out if you're looking or just curious.

With this news, pressure on companies to attract and retain their talent is as high as ever. Even in times where layoffs are more and more frequent, it is in the best interest of companies to retain their top performers. Key dates in October to watch: Wednesday, Oct. 11: The Bureau of Labor Statistics will release the Producer Price Index for September. The gauge measures the change over time in prices charged by domestic producers for their output. The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) will release the minutes of the committee’s last policy-setting meeting held in September. It gives clues on where the FOMC stands on current monetary policy and future interest rate decisions. Thursday, Oct. 12: The Bureau of Labor Statistics will release the monthly Consumer Price Index for September, which measures inflation through the price of goods and services. The U.S. Department of Labor will release initial jobless claims for the previous week. The report, a proxy for layoffs, tracks the number of people filing for unemployment benefits. Friday, Oct. 13: The University of Michigan will release its preliminary reading of October’s Consumer Sentiment Index, which measures how Americans feel about current and future economic conditions. https://lnkd.in/guX-9fMp
