Earlier this week we broke ground on Phase 1 of the Monon South Trail at Borden Community Park. This 58-mile trail will connect communities and promote economic development in Southern Indiana. 🌳🚴♀️🚶♂️ Project Manager, Ryan Hughes, P.E., has been incredibly passionate about this project, as you can see from his post. He adds, “More and more folks are turning their attention to the Monon South Trail project in anticipation of being able to walk, bike, and roll through the communities and countryside which the trail will connect.” We're incredibly proud to oversee the development of Indiana’s longest continuous trail, supporting recreational opportunities and community health. Learn more about this project in Ryan's post below or check out our latest blog-- 🔗 link in the comments.
At the Monon South Trail Groundbreaking Ceremony this week, I told the crowd in Borden, IN that I grew up visiting nearby Huber's Family Farm but didn't appreciate the beauty of Southern Indiana as a kid. Now every time we visit the trail site, I take a moment to enjoy the scenery. On top of that, I've met and worked alongside so many wonderful people - folks on our design team, from our client Radius Indiana, and in the Monon South communities themselves. What an exciting #RailsToTrails project! Special thanks to the design team, pictured throwing some dirt with me: Clark Dietz, Inc. Taylor Siefker Williams Design Group USI Consultants, Inc.
