Today, we’re reflecting on the rich history of our Nashville offices as we gear up to combine our Clair Global and Sound Image Nashville offices and join the Rock Nashville campus in 2025. Clair Global’s Nashville office was established in 1997 when Clair (then Clair Bros.) acquired Nashville-based sound company, MD Systems. MD Systems (“MD” stands for “modular design”) was founded by John McBride in Wichita, KS in 1979. In 1990, McBride moved his company to Nashville to better serve his clients, which included up-and-comer Garth Brooks. Like Clair, MD Systems manufactured their own equipment, including the T2 loudspeaker. McBride, who now owns and operates Blackbird Studio and the Blackbird Academy, says he was certain from the first moment that Clair was the company he wanted to work with. “I just always loved the consistency [of Clair], the quality of people that work there…they’re great.” Sound Image first arrived in Nashville in 1989, shortly before McBride. At the time, country artist Barbara Mandrell was a big account and may have personally encouraged the move. In March of 1993, Everett Lybolt assumed his current role as GM. He found their current offices at Cockrill Bend Blvd, which has been their home since 2006. We are proud to be part of the Nashville music community, while also serving national and international clients. Our endeavors in Music City reinforce our heritage of supporting new artists alongside established stars, as we strive to honor each client with our decades of experience and expertise. While our Nashville shops have served us well over the years, we're thrilled for what lies ahead in 2025 as we join fellow live entertainment industry vendors at the newly announced Rock Nashville campus. 📷 1: MD hanging T2 loudspeakers 2: Clair Nashville office, circa 1997 3: Sound Image Nashville office, 2016 4: S4 Room (rehearsal space) at Clair Nashville 5: Sound Image crew at CMA Fest 2015

Earlier this month, multi award-winning film score composer and music producer, Hans Zimmer, returned to Dubai’s Coca Cola Arena, the largest purpose-built venue in the Middle East. His touring team, led by Production Manager Jim Baggott, chose Clair UAE to deliver audio requirements locally. An L-Acoustics K1 / K2 system with flown KS28s, KS28 ground Subs and A15 front fills was selected for two nights at the venue. With DiGiCo SD7 Quantums at both ends, FOH ran the T software, and utilized a TC M6000 and 3 x Rupert Neve Porticos as well as plug-ins from Live Professor, and a KLANG card for Spacial FX. In monitor world, a KLANG Konductor and SSL Fusion outboard to helped achieve space in the 40+ IEM channels. FOH Engineer Colin Pink said: “Once again, we chose Clair UAE as our audio supplier as our needs are extensive and complex. Clair is pretty much the only supplier able to fulfil our brief. Working with Clair was seamless. Because of their global reach, there were no substitutions to our gear list, everything was sourced as requested without effort! The crew were motivated, fun and possessed vast talent and knowledge. This made putting on what was essentially a ‘one-off’ show a stress-free experience. These shows received great reviews, which was in no small part down to the pristine support we received from Al Woods and the team at Clair UAE.” Hans Zimmer Touring Team: Colin Pink - FOH Engineer Maurizio Gennari - Monitor Engineer Thomas Jacobs - System Engineer Daniel Melcher - RF Coordinator Clair UAE Team: Al Woods - Account Executive Dana Beaudin - Audio Project Manager George Forsyth - Systems Guarantee Engineer Clinton Hattingh - Stage Systems Mark ‘Magic’ Ellis Cope - RF Guarantee Engineer Nawaz Ali, Saleem Shady, Nadeem Ali & Saqib Ramzan - PA Techs Photo credit: IG/X/Threads: @thejoeeley FB/Web: Joseph Eley

We're thrilled to have provided the audio for Robin Hood's Annual Benefit Gala at the Javits Center, where over $68 million was raised to combat poverty in NYC. From every speech and joke to the electrifying performances by Mumford and Sons, Post Malone, and more, our team ensured every note resonated perfectly. The atmosphere was electric, and we were proud to be part of such a meaningful event. Thank you for allowing us to contribute to this night of hope and change for New York City. 📷: Atomic

Huge shoutout to our incredible crew for making the Tom Brady Roast at the Kia Forum an unforgettable experience! Your dedication to providing world-class audio and comms was absolutely crucial. This system was comprised of main hangs of 14 d&b audiotechnik KSL per side, with outfills of 12 KSL per side and 6 SL-SUB per side. To ensure every corner of the venue had perfect sound, we installed four delay clusters with 8 KSL each, two shower clusters with 6 V8 each, and four side/270 clusters with 8 V8 each. We also placed about 90 K-ARRAY | Unique Audio Solutions tornado speakers on 36 cocktail tables! For communications, a RIEDEL Communications 1024 Frame was at the heart of operations, providing AES-67 resources and supporting 70 Bolero wireless belt packs and 20 Riedel wired smart panels. Using Riedel's new Dante UIC card, we created a seamless interface with up to 64 channels between the TV truck and the crew on stage. We also enhanced our deployment with RTS 4-channel DBP belt packs, distributing 30 belt packs to various users. To ensure flawless communication throughout the venue, we deployed fourteen 1.9 GHz Riedel Bolero Antennas using our network of Netgear switches. Every detail was meticulously planned and executed, and we’re proud to have played a part in the success of this monumental Netflix event. Our team's passion and expertise truly shone through, making this event a standout experience! Big thanks to Jeff Peterson, Juan Gallardo, Russell Walbert, Jimmy Xiloj, and the rest of the crew - we couldn't do this without you!
