    Plymouth-based company Twin City Fan recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. To celebrate the milestone, Plymouth Mayor Jeff Wosje proclaimed Thursday, June 27 2024 as “Twin City Fan Day.” Twin City Fan specializes in the design and manufacturing of high-quality custom, semi-custom and standard fans – and provides manufacturing and service operations to locations such as the United States, Europe, India, China and Singapore.     The Plymouth Police Department swore in four new officers at Tuesday night’s City Council meeting. Max Ganshyn, Jessica Peterson, Katie Saint and Michael Taffe were welcomed as the department’s newest officers. Additionally, long-time department member Scott Whiteford was recognized at the meeting for his recent promotion to captain. Captain Whiteford began his career in Plymouth in 1996 as a Police Explorer. He continued to work for the department as a Police Reserve, a sworn officer, a sergeant, and now oversees the Patrol Division. Congrats to all, and thank you for your service to Plymouth.

    The Municipal Legislative Commission recently recognized Rep. Ginny Klevorn as the 2024 Legislator of the Year – an honor given annually to one of Minnesota's 201 state legislators. According to MLC, Rep. Klevorn (who represents Plymouth) was recognized for her dedicated service to the Minnesota House, as well as her leadership on local zoning and land use issues. Congratulations, Rep. Klevorn!

    Two Plymouth lakes were recently removed from the state's impaired waters list, an achievement that followed more than two decades of efforts by the City of Plymouth, area property owners and the watershed district. Pictured is one such effort – an application of aluminum sulfate to help bolster lake water quality in Pomerleau Lake. Read more: bit.ly/3yICtxE
