  • Johns Creek Community Development Director Ben Song and Economic Development Director Kim Allonce shared insights into the planning and development of the Johns Creek Town Center with Harry Normal Realtors on Tuesday. From public investments like Creekside Park and the Medlock Bridge / GA 141 pedestrian tunnel to major private developments such as Medley and Boston Scientific, the Town Center area transformation is taking shape. The Johns Creek Town Center development involves the transformation of a 192-acre business park that is located along Medlock Bridge Road, McGinnis Ferry Road, and Johns Creek Parkway. The project will establish a vibrant walkable town center that will feature a new 40-acre mixed-use retail district (Medley) and a new linear park (Creekside Park) that when completed will feature pedestrian pathway systems, a lakefront amphitheater, a boardwalk, fountains, and a community playground. On Wednesday, the City broke ground on the Town Center stream restoration project, which includes restoring more than 1,500 linear feet of eroded streambank and adds a 10-foot-wide ADA-compliant trail connecting McGinnis Ferry Road to Creekside Park. • On Monday, June 17, the Johns Creek City Council unanimously approved the appointment of Kimberly Greer as City Manager, the city’s highest administrative post. Greer emerged as the top candidate for the position after a nationwide search that began in February when the city hired Developmental Associates, LLC, a firm specializing in the recruitment of municipal employees. The Mayor and Council identified Kimberly Greer as the final candidate to lead the city in management of strategic programs, teams, and services. The appointment of Kimberly Greer as the City Manager represents an exciting milestone for Johns Creek,” said Mayor John Bradberry. “She is an experienced leader and has proven her ability to motivate and manage the staff team and advance the priorities of the Council. As demonstrated in our unanimous vote, the Council and I look forward to working with Mrs. Greer to continue to make Johns Creek the best community to live, raise a family, and do business.” Details: https://bit.ly/3VxevNs
