Today, we celebrate the incredible Culver City Parks, Recreation, and Community Services (PRCS) crew. This dedicated group was instrumental in restoring the Kaizuka Meditation Garden in record time. Without their hard work, this beautiful transformation wouldn’t have been possible. “Together, we can do anything,” said PRCS Parks Maintenance Supervisor Matthew Withers. “This is just a glimpse of what we can achieve.” This is a reminder that so many dedicated individuals serve our City behind the scenes. They aren’t in it for the glory, but their efforts make a significant difference in our community. From all of us, thank you, PRCS team! Your hard work and dedication are truly appreciated.

The City of Culver City extends heartfelt gratitude to our sister city, Kaizuka, Japan, for their invaluable assistance in restoring the Kaizuka Meditation Garden. Originally gifted to Culver City 50 years ago, the garden has now been beautifully restored and rededicated thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Kaizuka delegation and our PRCS staff. This rejuvenated space symbolizes the enduring connection and friendship between our two cities. We invite you to visit the garden, located outside the Julian Dixon Library, and experience its tranquility and beauty.
