I can't emphasize enough the importance of speed in the interview process. Companies lose out on great talent time and time again on this very issue. Is there a qualified candidate? Engage them! Are they interested? Schedule them! Feedback to share? Provide it! An offer to extend? Share it! Obviously simplifying things down here. And not everything is immediate. But the point still remains - interview processes can take way too long. In employer driven job markets (which we are in now) interview processes are especially drawn out.
