Recently, Alyson Simons, CAFP, Fraud Manager, had the honor of presenting at an Elder Abuse Awareness Day event put on by Aetna Better Health of Kansas. Alyson spread awareness and education relating to financial crimes affecting elders. She says, "Coming together and collaborating with so many other professionals who have the same drive and passion in our state and across the country was so comforting and rewarding." Thank you, Alyson, for educating the community and helping people conquer their financial fears. #ElderAbuseAwareness #ElderFinancialAbuse

In 2022, through a grant from the Capitol Federal Foundation®, Children's Mercy Topeka at Stormont Vail Health was able to expand and open a dedicated clinic. This clinic provides Topeka-area children with highly specialized care and safety without traveling far from home. Families now have access to more pediatric services in Topeka, access to clinical trials and new therapies, and much more. Children's Mercy Topeka serves as a point of entry to care that can be coordinated and streamlined for improved patient outcomes. We are extremely honored to be a part of making this clinic come to life and bringing care and services closer to home. Children's Mercy Topeka will continue to have a positive impact on our community. 💙 #ChildrensMercy #Topeka #StormontVail Children's Mercy Kansas City

It is with deep sadness and profound respect that we announce the passing of Capitol Federal’s Chairman Emeritus, John C. “Jack” Dicus. Jack's remarkable journey with us began many decades ago, and his unwavering dedication and vision have left a lasting mark on our institution and community. Jack's journey with the Bank began in 1959. Two decades later, he was named Chairman of the Bank. In January of 2009, Jack was honored for 50 years of service to Capitol Federal®. He retired as Chairman from the board and continued as Chairman Emeritus. Jack helped lead the Bank with many revolutionary achievements during his time, as well as showcasing an unwavering commitment to the community. Jack Dicus was not just a leader but a mentor, a visionary, and a friend. While we mourn his loss, we also celebrate his life and the extraordinary legacy he leaves behind. Jack believed that running a successful company was about people and their well-being—customers and employees alike. We will continue to build upon the foundation and beliefs he has left us with.
