About us

At CNI we are dedicated to promoting a broader shift in the way we engage with and resolve conflict. Our mission is to foster a culture of conflict resilience - one comprised of individuals and leaders who listen deeply, assert authentically, and see conflict well-managed as a way to engender creativity, inclusion, and dynamism. CNI’s workshops, individual & small group coaching, and organizational consulting services provide clients with the tools to negotiate optimal outcomes and engage productively with conflict. We mediate disputes and facilitate complex negotiations to help parties resolve conflict or reach agreement. And we innovate and advance conflict resilience principles through our writing, lectures, research, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. CNI’s cross-disciplinary team is comprised of expert practitioners with backgrounds in multiple fields, including negotiation and dispute resolution, law, healthcare, and education. The team is led by Bob Bordone, formerly the Thaddeus R. Beal Clinical Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, and now a Senior Fellow at Harvard Law School. Bob is the founder and former director of the Harvard Law School Negotiation and Mediation Clinical Program and an internationally-recognized expert, speaker, author, coach, and teacher on negotiation, mediation, consensus-building, dialogue, and facilitation. We have worked with leading multinational companies, non-profits, government agencies, healthcare institutions, and universities. Our client list has included Microsoft, The Gap, Fidelity Investments, Nestle, General Motors, Delta Airlines, Edwards Lifesciences, MassGeneralBrigham, Anthem Blue Cross, Premea Blue Cross, the United States Department of Justice, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, and the Swiss Foreign Ministry, to name a few.
