    Thank you to all who came to our March Social cohosted with the City Innovations Collaborative at CCNY Grove School of Engineering! It was inspiring hearing from Eric Bellefroid how he started Brekland from the basement of his apartment after exploring the important need for frost protection in agriculture, to now an Activate Fellow and continuing his R&D and expanding his company. Thank you also to Dean Lucas from AIR COMPANY for sharing a bit about Air Co with our community on the spot! It is always amazing to hear about the technologies being developed here in New York and engage with CUNY students and faculty. Hope to see you all at the next one! Stay tuned.

    In a big step for Brekland, very excited to have Phil Brudnicki join as Chief Scientific Officer. Phil brings deep experience in material and polymer science having completed a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University, and 6 years experience in drug delivery research at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals. Excited to have you onboard!

    I am excited to announce I have joined Brekland as a Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer. Brekland focuses on developing low-cost and easy-to-deploy products to protect crops from damaging frost events. I am looking forward to applying my background in materials science and polymer chemistry to help Brekland create solutions that combat climate change and protect crops from frost events that drastically diminish crop yields.
