Gender Inequality in the Workplace A team of 5 Break Through Tech students recently completed a groundbreaking AI Studio project at host sponsor KPMG US. Collaborating with industry professionals, they delved into the complexities of gender inequality in the workplace, especially in low-wage regions. Leveraging American Community Survey (ACS) data from 2020-21, the students used a suite of #machinelearning algorithms, including linear regression, decision tree, and random forest to analyze the socioeconomic factors influencing workforce entry. The analysis unearthed compelling correlations, underscoring the importance of higher household incomes and education on female employment. The project not only shed light on the intricate dynamics of gender inequality but also offered actionable insights to foster a more equitable workforce landscape. Determining the priority zones for the rollout of Verizon's cutting-edge 5G network.
