Today's college students are facing unprecedented financial challenges. Recognizing emergencies in students' lives is the first step. We see the urgency in their needs and work to foster a supportive community. Let's change the narrative together.

The nation’s only non-profit organization built to help college students meet their basic living expenses.
About us
College is a main route out of poverty, a cornerstone in the building of a great society, and a key hiring prerequisite of many employers. But far too many students are facing poverty during college, keeping them from completing degrees. Financial aid falls well short of today’s prices and many college students do not have their basic needs met: a place to live, good food to eat, transportation to and from school. Believe in Students is the nation’s only non-profit organization built to help college students meet those basic living expenses. We do this work by providing resources directly to students to help meet their basic needs, and then by engaging those same students in sharing their stories to help create change. When students tell us what they need – we believe them.

Today is Juneteenth, a crucial moment in American history when slavery ended in the United States. It's a reminder of our ongoing journey toward equality and justice for everyone. At Believe in Students, we are committed to helping and empowering students of color by making sure they have what they need to do well. Let's take this day to think, learn, and work for a fairer future. Join us in celebrating freedom and the strength of the Black community. Together, we can make a difference.

Next week, we will host the 2nd episode of our Fellowship Chat on X (formerly Twitter). Join us to hear from this year’s Changemaker Fellows, learn about the challenges they face, and how they are working to bring about change. It’s Fill the Funds Day at Believe in Students! Across our FAST Fund network, our amazing faculty and staff leaders are on track to disseminate more than half a million dollars of emergency funds to keep students in school. These nimble, locally directed, small-dollar funds average just $250 – which can be the difference between someone staying in school and dropping out, often with a pile of debt that they can’t repay. As the semester ends, many of these funds have distributed their last dollars, with more students waiting in the wings. Can you help us replenish those funds today? Every donation will be doubled, up to $10,000! You can support a particular FAST Fund at a campus you care about, or make a general donation that we will use where it is most needed. Thank you for your support! https://lnkd.in/guzGbxnt #FillTheFUND #RealCollege #HigherEducation
