We are pleased to announce the hiring of Jeff Jones to the Bank of Tennessee team as Executive Vice President. Jeff is well known in Northeast Tennessee as a successful businessman and a valued community leader. His natural ability to develop and maintain relationships, proven leadership talents, customer service expertise, and operational excellence values provided a solid foundation for his 37-year career with Citigroup. Jeff started his career with our Carter County Bank division, and we're thrilled to have him working with us again. Read more about Jeff in the Elizabethton Star. https://lnkd.in/ejDdq7dp

As a community bank, it is an honor to serve the communities we live and work in. Last month, Cheryl Jones, our Treasury Management Sales Officer for the Nashville area, mentored students in the Dream Streets Dream Housing Grant Program. In addition to providing mentorship for this program, Cheryl serves Dream Streets on the board of directors. The Dream Housing Grant Program is a year-long program designed to give graduates real-world knowledge in budgeting, savings, and paying off debt. Together, Cheryl and the other mentors were able to help this cohort increase each credit score by at least 30 points each, as well as paying off over $12,000 in total debt and establishing emergency savings funds. Congratulations to Dream Streets, the program graduates, and all the mentors for the momentous work.
