The best antivirus software for Android » https://lnkd.in/dtRMGPX In May 2024 we evaluated 14 mobile #security products for #Android using their default settings. When conducting our tests, we always used the most current version of all products. The products were allowed to update themselves at any time and query their in-the-cloud services. We focused on malware detection and usability, including performance and false positives. The products had to demonstrate their capabilities using all components and protection layers.

For Windows 11: Seventeen Security Packages in the Test » https://lnkd.in/dEfiA8ZZ No users wish to have viruses or Trojans on their #Windows11 PCs. To turn that wish into reality, it is necessary to utilize good protection software. The experts in the test lab at AV-TEST have determined in grueling tests which packages offer the best protection. In the test, each package was required to hold its own against just under 20,000 new and known attackers. It was examined whether the system watchdogs slow down Windows 11 PCs, whether they trigger many false alarms or otherwise cause annoyance. Many manufacturers have good reason to celebrate based on the latest findings. Other manufacturer teams, also including well-known names, would probably not be happy with the recorded scores.

Die JavaScript-Bibliothek "polyfill.js" wurden modifiziert, um Benutzer auf bösartige Websites umzuleiten. Disguise and deception – how brand-new malware attacks are carried out on Windows systems » https://lnkd.in/dQqbkfrR Cyberattackers are constantly seeking and finding new ways to attack Windows systems. That is why the team from AV-TEST, in its Advanced Threat Protection tests, examines whether the current protection programs also detect the latest attack techniques. In cases where they do not, the attackers load malware lightning-fast and launch it. In the latest test, the experts subjected the systems to the most recent malware 10 times. However, the attackers come disguised and concealed in MSI packages, executed via script interpreters, swapping out the main components in a process or combining the techniques. 21 products for consumer users and corporate users face off against difficult tasks involving stealth attacks. The outcome shows that some vendors do a perfect job. But the test also demonstrates that some products cause unnecessary suspense, yet in the end come out on top against malware.
