Michelle Moorman’s first day with Avant Healthcare, part of Real Chemistry, was in June 2015. After 8 years working in logistics and meeting planning within the pharmaceutical industry, she was excited to continue her career, this time focusing on medical education and awareness. However, 2 weeks into her new gig, she found herself asking to take time off — and receiving immediate support. “My job has always had such a family feeling to it, and it was also a role where you got to work on your why, which is ultimately helping the patients. And for each of us, that looks different, but in joining Avant I experienced both components firsthand, right as I started.” She shares, "Just a couple weeks after starting, my mom fell ill and was diagnosed with sepsis. The very first person I turned to was Trina Stonner (Group President, Medical Communications). I hadn’t even met her at that point; I just knew of her and her past as an advance practice nurse. But she walked me through sepsis, what it was, and what questions I should ask at the hospital. She also told me to go be with my mom, immediately – the work could wait.” Michelle knew in that moment she had found her new home. The stars aligned personally and professionally, and she has never looked back. And while over the years there have been challenges, changes, and opportunities, she's seen consistent thought and care put into the people and culture, changing colleagues into a community. And 4 months into working at Real Chemistry, after the acquisition of Avant, she believes the same. From the very first meeting where the news was shared to meeting her new colleagues, she's continued to see the care put into each decision. “You see all the change and you worry about growing pains, but it’s enlightening to see how people care. Because you can get lost going from 250 people to 2000, but so far I’ve not felt that at all. I see and feel the same culture.” #LifeatRealChem https://bit.ly/3xPU8mW

At the MAPS Americas Annual Meeting, Real Chemistry hosted a panel of esteemed professionals from companies like Merck, Amgen, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson to delve into the evolving landscape of medical information and HCP engagement strategies.  🔍 Key Takeaways:  1. Digital Transformation: The shift towards digital on-demand content is revolutionizing how HCPs access and interact with medical information. While an emphasis on AI and personalized content is setting new standards for real-time, tailored information delivery is key.  2. Insight-Driven Engagement: Leveraging digital insights alongside traditional methods is enhancing our understanding of HCP engagement. The integration of AI for insight analysis and the strategic value of consolidated data are paving the way for more informed decision-making.  3. Personalized Educational Journeys: The future of HCP education lies in modular, bite-sized content delivered through an omnichannel approach. Despite challenges, the potential for AI-enhanced platforms and virtual MSLs is vast, promising more efficient and engaging ways to meet HCP needs.  4. Compliance and Innovation: Navigating compliance in the digital age is crucial. Early collaboration with compliance teams is essential to ensure that innovative tools and platforms meet regulatory standards without compromising the quality of information.  🔮 Looking Ahead:  The panel's discussion signifies a pivotal moment for #MedicalAffairs. Throughout history, humans have been using storytelling as a means of sharing knowledge. This tradition has evolved from ancient cave paintings to modern digital narratives. In the pharma industry, storytelling has the power to simplify complex clinical data and make it more compelling. By understanding medical narratives, brands can create stories that resonate with HCPs. We came (for the science). We saw (amazing presentations). We conquered (as many sessions as possible). While we didn’t catch all 200+ sessions at the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting, we did bring back three key takeaways about the art and science of cancer care. See where the future of cancer treatment is heading in our blog from Sara Wantuck Eckhart and Sara Schmitt, PhD: https://hubs.li/Q02BM3QS0. #AvantSpeak #ASCO24 #oncology
