Last month, the Redi-Rock network lost a beloved member to cancer. Seth Clark was a partner at Signature Stone in the Denver area and worked there for 14 years providing Redi-Rock and various other products to the Colorado market. ❤️ His work has left a lasting impact on the infrastructure of Colorado. Over the course of his career, Seth and Signature Stone sold over 267,000 Redi-Rock blocks. To put that into perspective, that is: - Over 1.5 million square feet of wall face - 76 miles if the blocks are stacked on top of each other - Two times the vertical feet of elevation gain of all the fourteeners in Colorado combined Our purpose at Redi-Rock is to change the world in concrete ways and Seth did just that. Not only did he change the infrastructure in Colorado, but he changed the lives of our team. We all consider Seth a friend and we really miss him. "I love working for Aster Brands because they have helped me reach my potential. I've been with the company for six years, and I still get to perform various tasks that challenge my technical skills and aptitude every day." 🤖What's a fun fact that people may not know about you? "I've been fortunate to have some amazing experiences in my life. In high school, I competed in an international underwater robotics competition in St. John's, Newfoundland, after my team won the USA regionals in Michigan. I've also been on missions trips where I helped build homes in Mexico and took care of orphans in Central America. Currently, I serve as vice president of my local church board." ✋What is your favorite thing to do in your free time? "In addition to my work at Aster Brands, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three young children on our property and out in nature here in northern Michigan! It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of our cherished colleague and friend, Seth Clark. Seth was an integral part of Signature Stone in Greeley, Colorado where he served as a Partner. Seth has been a key part of Signature Stone’s success and a true leader in the Redi-Rock network. Seth passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 10, 2024, after a courageous battle with colon cancer. His dedication, professionalism, and infectious personality touched everyone who knew him. Seth's humor, kindness, and genuine care for others made him not only a remarkable colleague but also a dear friend to many. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Mary Margaret Carter Clark, and their young son, Carter Seth Clark. Our hearts go out to them and Seth’s entire family during this incredibly difficult time. We know that Seth's memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. In honor of Seth's legacy and his unwavering dedication to his family, the Signature Stone team has set up a GoFundMe campaign to support Seth’s son Carter's future education. Contributions to this fund will help ensure that Carter has the opportunities he deserves to pursue his dreams, just as Seth would have wanted.   Here at Aster Brands, we often discuss purpose. In business school, they teach that the purpose of business is to maximize shareholder value, which is a flawed concept. It's like saying the purpose of a human is to breathe. We believe our purpose is to change the world in a concrete way. This statement has obvious product implications, but we can make a tangible impact right now by investing in Seth Clark’s family. Aster Brands will start with a $5,000 gift to help send Carter to college. A quick story about Seth: He interviewed at Redi-Rock International before joining Signature Stone. We thought, "This guy is awesome, and given where he lives, we should connect him with Signature Stone." In hindsight, we missed out! Seth not only joined Signature Stone but also became an equity partner. His work has created numerous jobs that support families to this day. However, it is Seth’s character that truly stands out. We all consider Seth a friend, and we truly miss him. I have a single sculling shell that I take out on Torch Lake. Someday, my goal is to row Torch from the North to the South end (19 miles) in one go."
