Arbor Circle offices will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, to celebrate Juneteenth. The Bridge youth shelter remains open, and our 24-hour youth crisis line is still available at 616.451.3001. Our offices will return to regular business hours on Thursday, June 20. Juneteenth commemorates the day when the Emancipation Proclamation was delivered to the last known groups of enslaved people in Galveston, Texas (1865). It became a national holiday in 2021. Despite gaining freedom, Black Americans have remained fighting for full equality. Learn more about Juneteenth: https://lnkd.in/g4EX_uUD
