“I wanted to open a coworking space that wasn’t just pretty and with free Wi-Fi, but something that could be used as a platform to help individuals and businesses in their journey, so that’s how it started. Alongside that, I’ve always been very interested in film and the rise of content creation, and I thought that that could be a good differentiator,” Matt said. Wrapping up my first Young Health Leaders Summit with this takeaway: don’t be afraid to challenge the status quo, especially in healthcare. As a communicator, our jobs revolve around telling stories but we mustn’t shy away from asking why things are a certain way and why they can’t change. I heard from so many inspiring and aspiring leaders that are asking the right questions and leading the charge to make our health system better. We may often feel discouraged about the progress being made but healthcare needs optimists more than ever.
