Supported by a generous $2.23 million Massachusetts Manufacturing Innovation Initiative (M212) grant and continued support from existing key partners, the Center drives innovation, ensures reliable customer testing and allows for high-quality production under controlled conditions. It also provides customers with an efficient manner to save energy, time, and money. As part of this news, we celebrated our grant alongside other innovative Massachusetts companies. Last week, AM Batteries attended the Department of Energy’s Vehicle Technologies Office (VTO) Annual Merit Review. The Department of Energy reviews funded projects over the year by the VTO and is reviewed for their merit. During the review, our team heard insightful discussions from the VTO and the continued effort from the Department of Energy in battery investment, citing over $120B battery investments made to date. The announced battery factories in the US can supply up to 10M EVs per year and employ over 80k people (when you consider the whole supply chain!). Battery manufacturers pay a high price for the acquisition and operating costs of the conventional wet-coating process. One of the many benefits of the dry battery electrode process is the reduced equipment and space needed in the coating process, which reduces a battery manufacturers' overall expenses.
