On Friday, June 28th, Des Moines Area Community College and Accumold welcomed a group of Iowa high school superintendents and administrators to discuss the Accumold Scholar program. These scholarships support DMACC's Tool & Diemaking and Robotics and Control Systems Engineering Technology programs. Nearly two dozen participants attended the two-hour event, which began with a shared meal and featured presentations by Roger Hargens, CEO of Accumold, and Rob Denson, President of DMACC. Attendees also heard stories from past scholarship recipients, providing insights into the career paths offered by these programs. The event concluded with a Q&A session and a tour of the Accumold facility. The day was a success, and we hope the administrators will return to their school districts and spread the word about both the Accumold Scholars program and DMACC’s degree programs.

Accumold is pleased to announce that it will be presenting a webinar focused on micro manufacturing for wearable diabetes devices on Thursday, June 27, 2024 14.00 Eastern Daylight Time (20.00 CET). We will be specifically discussing a thin-wall and overmolding case study, and the webinar will be hosted by Paul Runyan, VP Sales and Marketing and AJ Pruitt, Technology Manager at Accumold. Small and thin-walled cannulas play a pivotal role in wearable diabetes devices due to their significance in minimizing patient discomfort and optimizing medical procedures. Using Accumold's revolutionary and proprietary micro injection molding process, cannulas can now be produced at high volume with simplified all-plastic bodies, and heads designed to maximize manufacturing efficiencies and product integration.   Register for the MD+DI / Qmed+ webinar now to learn more and to see how micro molded thin-wall cannulas can stimulate innovation in the design of your wearable diabetes devices.
