America's Community Council (ACC)

One of the most prevalent and underdiscussed challenges facing communities in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties is Human Trafficking. Recently ACC’s Chief Operating Officer, Odie Fakhouri, welcomed US Attorney’s Eastern District office and the Department of Homeland Security to share expert information on the latest indicators, trends and resources around human trafficking with ACC’s clinicians. ACC is grateful the US Attorney Dawn Ison joined the workshop to help lead the discussion. Powerful presentations were given by Assistant US Attorney’s, Special Investigators and a Survivor of Human Trafficking.
