According to SAMHSA, in 2021, nearly 1 in 5 Hispanic or Latino adults aged 18 and older had a mental illness, and 46% of young adults aged 18-25 had either a substance use disorder or a mental illness. Despite the high prevalence of substance use disorders (SUDs), 94% of those aged 12 or older with a substance use disorder did not receive any treatment. Treatment can sometimes be unattainable due to different factors such as language and cultural barriers, lack of financial access to paid recovery services, and a lack of preventative education. We know this, and because of that at AAMA we are happy to offer many free, confidential, and culturally sound outpatient services and preventative education. If you or a loved one are looking for outpatient recovery services, visit our website to learn more about which one of our services is right for you: https://lnkd.in/gBV7vRki #Counseling #MentalHealth #MentalHealthcare #Therapy #CommunitySupport #family #houston #houstonbusiness #houstonnonprofit #nonprofit #texas #SUD
