When we learn to cook, at first we follow recipes step by step, but with time and practice we learn to adjust the ingredients to our liking, exactly how machine learning allows AI to "learn" from data. The use of metaphors helps demystify AI, showing it as a tool that, although powerful, requires human guidance and adjustment. Highlighting the benefits of personalized medicine, such as the impact on employment, provides a balanced picture. Both at my university and in open seminars, my goal is to foster an informed society prepared to navigate the AI era with knowledge and confidence. This balance between education and engagement is vital to cultivating a well-informed and nuanced perception of AI.

For me personally, I often underestimate the gap in knowledge for professionals versus someone that isn't in AI. I'm around colleagues and clients talking about this on a day-to-day basis whereas my neighbor might not know what ChatGPT is.
