Its kinda important not to use abbreviations.. unless you are absolutely sure it cannot be misinterpreted because the appropriate context is given. AP for instsance, can be regarded upon as 'Angina Pectoris' or 'Anus Praeternaturalis'. MI als ' Myocardial Infarction' , but also as 'Mitralvalve Insufficiency'. May seem silly, but I've seen it go wrong in clinical practice. So beware of the traps here..

In addition to Marlies Schrijven: Anterior Posterior (AP) in X-ray images, another meaning for AP! I bet there is more. I also am not in favor for using abbreviatons: if you read a normal Dutch newspaper, the average reader can't understand anything because of the use of them.

A mi me ha resultado útil siempre llevar el conocimiento al nivel del cliente. No podemos usar la misma complejidad de lenguaje con una persona que terminó estudios universitarios que con una que no tuvo educación básica, motivo por el cual podemos generar una brecha de información y dificultar el entendimiento del problema y entender el tratamiento. No hay que olvidar, que si tenemos un dominio adecuado de la información, es mucho más sencillo desescalarlo para poder explicar nuestras ideas y lograr el entendimiento completo.
