You've got an excellent resource right here on LinkedIn. There are groups for every flavor of AI learning. Do a simple search for groups and join any and all that seem interesting. Engage! If you see something someone posted. Say something genuinely nice about it...or ask them a question. 99% of the time you will get an informative answer and then some. Post! Create something and ask for feedback. Discord! (I know the UX is a bit intimidating at at first) Join a few servers of AI programs you're interested in. Nearly every server has a chat. Again, ask questions. You may make a connection with several people across the globe who will happily share their techniques Practice & Execute & Keep expanding your circle of AI experts!

For anyone who wants to understand what the 🌊 AI tsunami means for them, experimenting is key. These tools are all new for almost everyone. Even the people lauded as experts online will have a certain way they approach the tools, which might differ from your needs or ideas. But you can only get an understanding of the capabilities and what the tools can and can't do for you by testing them. Fortunately most of this tech is cheap to test, and I heartily recommend doing small-scale, low-stakes projects and tests. Do as many as you have time to do, learn what works, and where the tools currently fall short. You can read and watch tutorials all you want, but only if you're trying to solve a real problem, will you find out which path to take.
Networking remains essential in the film industry, but with AI, you can network smarter. Use AI-driven analytics to identify influential industry players and events that are most relevant to your career goals. Engaging with the right people and attending the right events can lead to opportunities that align with your expertise in AI. I heard it directly from several C-suite level AI officers who admitted "we're all new subject matter experts in this space." There are those in the film/editing industry already stepping forward to innovate, to say I got this; and embrace what's next. Try new things. Break things. Push vendors to the limit, and share what's next. I love those already testing Sora, Pika, Adobe, and others. You don't reach the pinnacle alone; you share tools, explain dangerous crevices and help others across.
Incorporating AI into your workflow can significantly enhance productivity. Use AI tools for tasks like organizing schedules, managing budgets, and post-production work. These applications can free up your time to focus on the more creative aspects of filmmaking.
