If you're suggesting a physician, I'd question the value of having a full-time physician simply observing her or his colleagues instead of... practicing medicine. Is it a non-physician administrator? That'd be a rapid way to deploy immediate resentment across one's institution.

Sorry to go rogue, but I'm worried about the quality of these LinkedIn advice questions, reeking of formulaic AI tropes. This entire article is just the words "data analytics" plus another vague term surrounding "physician empathy" and then a question mark. What would improve physician empathy that has nothing to do with data analytics? Time, space, and support for a physician to accomplish the overwhelming number of tasks expected of us on a daily basis and to allow us to cultivate empathy throughout our day. It may not seem like it, but we're humans too. We went into medicine to help other humans. We're put between a rock and a hard place on a daily basis, and sadly, empathy is the first to go.
