How can you use mixed methods to evaluate program implementation?

Mix methods in research are greatly augmented by Artificial Intelligence through Natural Language Processing. The Numerical data processing has been dealt with quite adequately through the ages. Narrative data however just recieved a huge boost in both total corpus processing and accracy rates of their analytics. Program analysis should blend quantitative elements (analyzing processes for bottlenecks via timestamps, understanding temporal and categorical volume, etc.) and identifying hotspots that can be further investigated via qualitative means, such as focus groups or mixed methods survey research to ultimately develop holistic action plans and look back analysis to understand if the action ultimately accepted desired outcomes.

One of the largest challenges are ensuring that the data is robust and consistent and that comparisons are apples to apples as much as possible. Another challenge, especially with survey data is ensuring a high response rate and getting buy-in from both leaders and employees to ensure and communicate actions taken as a result of the survey.

Any mixed methods evaluations of a program should be careful not to confuse correlation to causation and to fully consider data validity especially as it relates to the robustness of the data especially in terms of generalizability. Sample size is especially important in evaluating whether or not it is appropriate to see a pattern emerge in one area of the organization and trying to understand if it is isolated or systemic. Qualitative approaches and getting to the process from the ground floor offer a richness in such evaluations.
