What do you do if your personal relationships suffer due to your Creator Economy career?

If your personal relationships suffer because of the creator economy then hire a virtual assistant. Get some work off your plate so you can spend more time with family. Attend fewer meetings. Post on social media less often. If you don't have family, you have nothing.

If you sacrifice what you love for success, you get neither. How you spend your time is how you show your love. Put work second and watch productivity skyrocket around your positive constraints.

I would rather say......the current flow of relationship must not be one way.....✅ It's mutual understanding of both side to adjust as who never wish your loved ones don't develop and suffer set back just to be with them.... I think the creator economy already helps you be a person who can easily work from anywhere at anytime. So, you already can work while living with your loved ones. The only thing you need to do is find some time you can spend with your loved ones.

Set your priorities straight. Is this a full-time journey you want to undertake at 60-hour weeks forever? Is there a specific period of time/milestone you need to overcome before you stop? Maybe an MRR of bank buffer goal? Decide on doing a strong push for several months/a year or retaining a balanced lifestyle by pushing back your goals.

That's the way. Let your loved ones know what your career goals are, and they would be more than happy to help you with that. All you need to do is communicate openly.

I think this question can be made broader than just the creator economy, to any start up entrepreneur. The same demands, uncertainties, long working hours, being totally immersed, having less boundaries between work and personal life, all hold. I am a spouse of a start up entrepreneur and from my personal experience it really helps if there are open lines of communication. And the lines of communication would have to be both ways. So when my spouse was building his start up, I took on more of the care giver role for our son. But when his business stabilized and our son was in high school, he played a very important role in those formative years of our son. So knowing well where the person stands and also being flexible and open, helps.

Well, hopefully you don't get to the point where your relationships are suffering. Strong, meaningful friendships and peer relationships are essential to success in my books, so that means prioritizing reach outs, time spent and when you're with those you value, you aren't "creating" at the same time. Turn off the phone, stop thinking about how to turn the conversation into a Reel, and connect ;)

I think apart from that, you need to also make your loved ones understand that you may need to over work at times, because winning in the creator economy isn't easy these days because you are competing with a million content creators all over the world daily.

I agree with this. It is the quality of time that matters with your loved ones. Ensure that you throw all your work stress at this time and are focused on spending time with your loved ones.

I think the best way to seek support is to seek support from within. Ask yourself about why are you not able to spend more time with your loved ones. What is really stopping you? Many a times, it might be your poor time management and energy management skills at work that might be leaving you behind

Often Creators just push forward when they start to see those signs. But they should not. Creators should pause, and evaluate not only the stats on their platforms, but the stats on the quality of their relationships. Creator burn-out is real, and is often a result of losing connection to those REAL CONNECTIONS with those close to you that make all the work worth it. Ask yourself: Are my relationships suffering because of the work I'm doing? ... Is it worth it? Only you will be able to know where your work/life boundaries land. Awareness and evaluation are key.

Creatives often struggle to separate work from personal lives, creating unintentional rifts in personal relationships. One way to manage this is to create boundaries around social media account sharing (honouring that you’re a creative at work but also those in your world who are there for different reasons - like family and friends), time at home (most work from home) including spaces where work is done, and conversations (not to suck out the air only talking about yourself or your work.)
