Furthermore, a competitor analysis and an overview of the legal landscape around disclosure requirements will also show a good reason for prioritizing sustainability, i.e. besides solely an idealistic reason.

Support your efforts/ impact with data - in terms of skills acquired by team, their learning curve, positive feedback received from client, impact seen on the project progress (which is consistent and stable in terms of reaching milestones). Sustainable efforts may seem to show slow progress and adaptation at first glance, but in the long term they are here to stay in the system. Such efforts help the organization in their overall productivity and give breather spaces to deal and tackle immediate escalations as well.
