Lysée Mitri

Award-winning Journalist Lysée Mitri is an investigative reporter at KCRA 3 News. Before that, she started as a general assignment reporter at the station in May 2021, covering everything from California politics to some of the state’s largest wildfires.

She led extensive live coverage on the first wildfires to burn across the Sierra Nevada mountain range in 2021 and traveled to Uvalde, Texas in 2022 to provide live nationwide coverage for Hearst stations after a shooter killed 19 students and two teachers at Robb Elementary School.

Before moving to Sacramento, Lysée worked as a fill-in anchor and an investigative reporter in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where her stories exposed corruption, sparked investigations and held people in power accountable.

Lysée grew up in the Los Angeles area and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California.

When she is not at work, Lysée enjoys reading, hiking and snowboarding.
