We're 22 days out from the Paris 2024 Olympics Opening Ceremonies on July 26. The artistic gymnastics competition is expected to be one of the most-watched events of the Games with returning all-around gold medalists Simone Biles and Sunisa Lee headlining for Team USA. Fellow veterans Jade Carey and Jordan Chiles are on the roster along with newcomer Hezly Rivera.Two additional gymnasts will be heading to Paris with Team USA as traveling replacement athletes, or alternates, in case one of the team members gets injured or falls ill. Joscelyn Roberson and Leanne Wong will be filling those spots this year.Roberson is an 18-year-old from Texas who recently committed to compete at the University of Arkansas in the fall. Twenty-year-old Wong is a Kansas City native who competes for the University of Florida. Both Roberson and Wong were members of the gold-medal-winning 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships team.The women's artistic gymnastics competition begins on July 27.
