David Beckham left his wife Victoria teary-eyed with a touching tribute at her 50th birthday bash. The former England football captain called Posh "inspirational" and a "role model" partner as she welled up in front of a crowd of 100 guests, including her Spice Girls bandmates.

The proud father of four also captured the moment when Victoria sang with her band for the first time since 2018. Their son Cruz, who recently embarked on a music career, performed their 1996 hit, Mama, at Oswald's in Mayfair.

Despite nursing a broken foot, Victoria was one of the last to leave, carried out with a piggyback by David at 2.30am. They were joined by their children Brooklyn, Cruz and Harper in a waiting car.

An insider revealed that the party, which reportedly cost around £250,000, featured heartfelt speeches from the kids expressing their gratitude towards their mum. Guests feasted on steak, sea bass, Italian-style sharing platters and £500 bottles of champagne before hitting the dance floor.

They told the Sun : “David told the party how Victoria’s always been a huge inspiration to him. He talked of what an amazing role model she is and what an incredible mum she has been. The kids also did speeches — it was very informal but they spoke of how grateful they are for everything she’s done for them.”

The Spice Girls even managed to pull off a routine to their 1997 hit, Stop, a moment Victoria shared online. She shared: "Best night ever! Happy Birthday to me! I love you all so much! #SpiceUpYourLife."

Insiders revealed that the band - who last performed as a five-piece at the 2012 Olympics - were the "life and soul of the party". One source added: "They had to make up for lost time and they did exactly that. The girls were having the time of their lives."
