Gardaí have launched a search for a Wicklow teenager who has been missing since the middle of the weekend.

16-year-old Abbey O'Brien was last seen on the evening of Saturday 8 June in Bray, Co. Wicklow and is known to frequent the Ballybrack area of Dublin.

Abbey is described as being approximately five feet tall with a slight build, blonde hair and blue eyes. It is unknown what Abbey was wearing at the time she went missing.

Gardaí have appealed for anyone with information on Abbey’s whereabouts to make contact with authorities.

A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 16-year-old Abbey O'Brien who was last seen on the evening of Saturday 8 June in Bray, Co. Wicklow.”

They added: “Anyone with any information on Abbey's whereabouts is asked to contact Bray Garda Station on 01 666 5300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.”
