At Oberlin College, Jake received his BA in politics, communications, and studio art but spent most of his time working as editor-in-chief of Oberlin's student culture magazine.

Outside of school, Jake has learned from some of the best in audio-journalism while working for WBUR, Boston's public radio station, and Vermont Public Radio and even developed his own podcast, exploring the political and social intricacies of life in a small Midwestern town with a liberal college in its center. When he's not writing insights on global politics or company analyses, Jake can be found on the street interviewing people and taking photos.
