Experience

Jacob Berstein is a contributor at Investopedia who covers a wide range of topics from trade wars to pharmaceuticals. He grew up in Boston and left the coastal life for a small liberal arts college in the middle of Ohio. At Oberlin College, Jake received his BA in politics, communications, and studio art but spent most of his time working as editor-in-chief of Oberlin's student culture magazine.

Outside of school, Jake has learned from some of the best in audio-journalism while working for WBUR, Boston's public radio station, and Vermont Public Radio and even developed his own podcast, exploring the political and social intricacies of life in a small Midwestern town with a liberal college in its center. When he's not writing insights on global politics or company analyses, Jake can be found on the street interviewing people and taking photos.

Education

Jacob received a Bachelor of Arts in politics, communications, and studio art from Oberlin College.

Quote from Jacob Berstein

"I think of what I do here as keeping people updated. There is a lot going on in the world today that affects finance and trade, and I love breaking down these often complex issues into palatable portions."
