Experience

Christiana started her journalism career covering crime in New York and South Florida for Newsday and the Sun-Sentinel, respectively. She spent a year at the Los Angeles Times under the Metpro training program before heading to Connecticut where she uncovered illegal housing issues, the demise of public health services and started a cultural column about the quirks of Stamford and its environs.

Christiana later moved to Rio de Janeiro where she spent four years covering renewable energy, traveling from Mexico to Argentina as a foreign correspondent for Recharge, a trade newspaper. In 2012, she joined Bloomberg covering Brazilian equities in Sao Paulo. Christiana later joined the nascent newsletter team in New York, kicking off Bloomberg's most-read publication. She returned to Sao Paulo as an editor on the equities team where she oversaw Latin America coverage on top of editing U.S. and Canadian market stories.

After several years of freelancing for The Wall Street Journal, Vogue Business, the Associated Press and Business Insider, among others, she joined The Block where she led the team covering crypto markets. Christiana joined Investopedia in February 2024.

Education

Christiana holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Pace University, a Master of Arts in journalism from New York University and a Master of Arts in media psychology from TUW.
